Holiday Gift Set Alert: The holiday season is the BEST time for purchasing makeup brush sets. A good brush set can cost you hundreds of dollars. Take advantage of this time of year!! It's the only time I ever buy brushes. For the past 3 years I have purchased the Laura Mercier brush set [listed above]. I love the fact that each brush is double sided. You get more bang for you buck and they are very easy to travel with!

 Before opening her very own brow bar, Sonia was the master brow specialist at Bergdorf Goodman. Unlike most eyebrow specialists, Sonia uses tweezers! Yes, tweezers!!!! No wax, no threading, just some good old fashion tweezing. 

I will admit... Sania's eyebrow service is a bit on the pricier side [$65 to be exact], but don't let the price scare you! I guarantee you it is worth every penny! Whether you are overplucked, overwaxed or overtheaded... Sonia has your back [or brows in this case]! So now for my Sania Brow Bar experience...

After doing tons & tons of research I decided to give Sania a try. I could see from her rave reviews on yelp, and her many magazine & television features that Sania had it going on! From the second I walked into Sania's I felt completely at ease. Not only did Sania completely transform my eyebrows, but she gave me a full on personalized eyebrow education and growth plan. Sania was extremely precise. Explaining exactly what she was doing while I watched her every move with a hand-held mirror. She knows exactly what she is doing. I swear... Sania is the eyebrow whisperer!!!!

The Cat Eye

I don't know about you, but I have spent the past year and a half trying to conquer the "cat eye" with my gel eyeliner. Some people, like my best friend Megan, are just gifted when it comes to eyeliner and a steady hand. You put me in front of a mirror with a pot of eyeliner and a brush and I end up with a drawn on mustache and if I'm lucky sometimes a uni-brow. Don't ask. It's not a pretty sight.  

On a brighter, more exciting note... I have found THE video that will make even the most cat eye challenged [like myself], a cat eye master!!!

Here is what you will need:

• Pot of gel eyeliner.  - I prefer Bobbi Brown's Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner.  The consistency is fantastic. And it lives up to it's name!
• Eye liner brush. - Nars #2 Brush it my absolute favorite eyeliner brush. I highly recommend [and I have tried MANY!!!]
• Scotch Tape! [I know, right? ....wait for the video]

And now... The video that will make you have those cat eyes you have always dreamed of!!!

Ladies & Gentleman.... The results are in! This morning I decided to go for the gold and conquer the "Cat Eye." I followed the easy steps in the video above and.... Wella!!!!

J. Crew Majesty Peacoat

 J. Crew's Majestic Peacoat is ALL THAT and a bag of chips!

It is most definitely my "IT" coat for the season. There are so many colors to choose from [all colors pictured]! Each color gives the jacket a completely different look. Which may make this purchase a bit difficult for the indecisive. It is impeccably designed. Made of Italian wool and fully lined. Also featured is fully functional wind-guard collar, which is totally necessary.  Oh, and did I mention it comes in a bevy of colors? 11 to be exact! 

Now for the price... 

$258!!! 

Now I am not saying this is "cheap," but it sure is a steal. This exact coat in a department store will cost you at least $400!

Once again, J. Crew got it right. They are on fire!

My personal favorite color is the warm lemon. It's so zesty & fun!!!
