Today's Postt: Bringing sexy back in OVERALLS!

That's right love muffins. The overalls are back & better than ever!

I've been going through overall withdrawal since 1999, when I was hit with the rude awakening of overalls not being cool anymore. [I know right, so depressing!] After years of them sitting in my closet I finally decided to toss them. Worst idea EVER! I swear, they have haunted me ever since! 

Well now it's 2012 & things have changed. 

I decided to hit up eBay & see if I could get my hands on an old school pair of Gap overalls. After weeks of searching, I finally came across "the pair." The second I laid eyes on them I knew they had to be mine! And now here they are today. All the way from a little consignment shop in Hawaii. Aloha overalls!

Mini Madness

 In the game of life, size matters! One of my many motto's is: Go big or go home. But mini seems to be the way to go as of late. Most designers these days have been making mini replicas of their "it" bags [as well as creating original mini bags]. Typically when it comes to mini bags you think night out, but mini has become an essential for daytime. I don't know about you, but I am so used to monstrously huge bags. I throw my entire life my handbag, so mini could be a challenge. But I'm thinking I could make it work.

Do or Don't: Wedge Sneakers

The wedge sneaker has completely taken the fashion world by storm this season. At first I was completely skeptical.  I may still be a bit skeptical, but I think I kind of just fell in love! They have this modern Back to the Future vibe that I am totally digging. Makes me want to jump in my Delorean and gun it back to 88. I would like to formally introduce to you my new Zara shoes. They are neon & I love them.  It's funny, I am so used to wearing platforms that when I first tried these on I felt completely off balance. But nothing a little wear wont fix. I highly suggest you go to Zara and get your hands on these babies before they are gone. There were barely any left, so get on it!

Oh and [just in case my husband is reading this], the reason for my somewhat blogging absence is because I have been working crazy hours at my real job. Which equals overtime. Which equals new shoes.

Okay, some of you may or may not know this but... my blog is not my full time job. As much as I LOVE fashion, beauty, shopping [& all that fun stuff], I do have a career that takes up most of my time that is not related. I work as a broadcast producer for a [fabulous] global advertising agency.

Oh, and by the way, my blog & work are not related in any way. Everything I write about on Caviar Taste, Tuna Fish Wallet is completely separate from my work. My blog is my own personal outlet for my thoughts.

Now that the technical stuff is out of the way... I would love to share with you our newest Cotton commercial [that just went public today] featuring the gorgeous & talented Emmy Rossum! I've been waiting so long to be able to share this!!!!  Yay!!!

Well This Is Embarrassing...

Don't you just love when this happens [and people actually get called out]!? It seems Jessica Simpson  loved Christian Louboutin's 2010 "Staratata" so much that she just had to make her own version. And by version I mean knock off. Yes, the price is a little bit on the cheaper side [$897 cheaper to be exact], but that in no way makes up for calling someone else's design your own.

Earlier today I put this status up on my personal Facebook - "What mascara do you use?! I'm always on the hunt for a new one." I must say, I was blown away by the number of detailed responses I received. People really take their mascara seriously. And for good reason! Who doesn't want irresistible lashes?

After going through my Facebook responses [& talking to a few friends], I came up with the list of buzz worthy mascaras below to research.

Surprisingly, I have only used one of the seven mascaras above. For the past few months I have been using Benefit They're Real. The brush is very unique & the formula is really nice. [I highly recommend it!] But, like most girls, I get bored. Which leaves me here on my hunt for the next best tube of mascara. 

After bumming it on the couch & doing some research... I am leaning towards Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Excess. Have you tried it?
