Well if you are reading this post, or my blog for that matter, you obviously know
Fashion's Night Out was last night. And oh was it
Fashion's Night Out... The city was absolutely bananas! Vacant cabs nowhere in site & fabulously dressed street walkers all through the night. The list of parties and special appearances were endless. It made it near impossible to meet up with all the people I planned to meet up with. But such is life..
And what a beautiful life it is!
This post is clearly titled "Fashion's Night Out Recap," so let me give you the play by play of my FNO evening.
Considering I do have a full time job, my whole "getting ready" glamorously took place at my office. Accompanied by my glam squad, Mr. Trash Can & Ms. Mailbox [see below]. Considering we don't have a full length mirror, which I find completely irritating, I typically resort to iPhone photos when getting ready for "after work" events.
After a good 30 minutes stuck underground on the subway [due to a police investigation], I met up with one of my closest friend [and contributing blogger] Jenn down in Tribeca at Matt Bernson's new store. If you haven't been there you should definitely check it out.. It's a pretty awesome spot & the layout is very unique! I loved it. I obviously don't need to tell you how fab the shoes are. That's common sense.
Below are some photos from Matt Bernson Tribeca for your enjoyment.
It was such a great event. Very low key & perfectly executed. There was full on shoe shopping going on upstairs. While downstairs, people were getting their hair braided [courtesy of
Joico] & getting manis [courtesy of
NailEZEE]. Shoes, hair braiding & mani's are quite the a-mazing combination if you ask me. And on top of it all, Matt Bernson was casually strolling around and mingling with the crowd. It was such a pleasure meeting Matt. He truly is a class act & has a great sense of humor.
We got our hair braided by the fabulous
Joico's Braid Bar.
[Pretty sweet, eh?]
And then...
Wait for it...
THIS HAPPENED!
Could you die?!
I refuse to take them off my feet.
[I clearly did a wardrobe change in the cab uptown when we left.]
Our night continued on to midtown. Jenn & I were completely famished, so we decided to get out of Tribeca and eat dinner a bit closer to home. And in true FNO fashion, we got side tracked by Bergdorfs. How could we not go in? I mean, it is their 111th Birthday for christ sake!
We did a once over... It was "eh." There were a couple of photo booths along with tarot card readings. Honestly, I was unimpressed. We wished Bergdorf a happy happy birthday & then went on our merry way to dinner at Rue 57.
[Their truffle fries are pretty outstanding.]
All in all the night was a complete success. Fun was had by all! Fashion's Night Out really is a fabulous event. It's so great seeing everyone's involvement. You just need to plan your night out beforehand. It's extremely easy to get carried away.
What did you all do for FNO? I'd love to hear all about it!
Also,
Also, a big thank you to both Cameo PR & Matt Bernson for a fabulous evening! You guys rock my socks! Or shall I say... "
My Zeppelins!"
