9-1-1 Skin Emergency!

The weather here in NYC is getting colder by the minute. And not only am I freezing my tush off, but the skin on my face is drying like crazy! I literally feel as if my skin & my face are going through a majorly traumatic break-up and I am stuck in the middle like a blindsided mistress. I mean, what the fuck! Can't we all just get along?! I am in dire need of extreme moisturization & I don't know where to turn to. I feel like the puppy who lost its way. And yes, I did just use a Billy Madison reference. [Sorry I'm not sorry.] So of course, I turn to my amazing readers for advice. And if you are reading this, that's YOU! Mazel tov!!! Now back to me & my "9-1-1 Skin Emergency..."

What moisturizer do you use during the winter? [Or even year round.] Do you use any of the above? And if so, which one? There are so many to choose from that my head might explode. Help a sista out!

One of my all time favorite things to purchase during the holiday season are beauty products. I am a huge fan of holiday value sets & brush sets. You seriously get way more bang for your buck. And they usually put sets together with their most coveted products. Above are my favorite holiday sets of the season. Obviously the perfect gifts for the beauty junkie.

The holiday season is officially here & I am freaking the f out. Where in the world has this year gone? This whole time is flying thing is making me want to invest in a really good/expensive anti-aging syrum [La Mer anyone?].  Anywho... Life Lately: New Hair.

So today I did the inevitable. I chopped off all of my dead ends. Something I have been avoiding for far too long. I am one of those "dust the bottom" trim kind of girls. The thought of taking any length off of my hair scares the crapola out of me. But my hair could not go on with the charade anymore. The dead ends had to go! And go they did! 

I will admit, I am a bit of a flat-iron junkie. And what's worse - I don't use heat protectant often. HUGE mistake. From now on, this girl will be taking way better care of her hair. I will be using a heat protectant after every wash & a deep conditioner once a week. Healthy hair, here I come!

Let's face it. These days being a geek is way chic! 

I love me some new toys, but I really love me some pretty things to put them in. Tech accessories have really become a bit of a sick obsession for me. Especially since some of my favorite designers [Kate Spade, Rebecca Minkoff, DVF, Moschino & Tory Burch - to name a few] got on the geek chicbandwagon. I mean, I honestly feel as though I change my iPhone case as often as I change my underwear. It's kind of a problem. 

I am all for embracing your geeky-ness.

Which geek chic tech accessories are your favorite?

I actually just got the iPad Mini & it's driving me bananas that there is not a wide variety of cases yet to put it in. I was able to come up with a few cute cases, but I am 100% on the look out for the "real deal." And when I find this so called "real deal," you will be the first to know about it! 

Have any of you gotten your hands on the mini yet? I'm not going to lie... It's completely changed my life. I was skeptical at first, but it's worth every penny [even if you don't have any... lol]! And the size is beyond perfect for the girl on the go. It fits in all of my handbags. I highly recommend it.

While catching up on my blogs yesterday I came across the most adorable post on Peony Lim. If you are not familiar with her blog, you MUST check it out. It's fabulous!
