non maternity

While I am not totally there yet in the bump department, I am starting to get major anxiety about the transition into maternity clothes. Don't get me wrong - I am beyond excited to be rocking the Baby Hutts bump, but...  the idea of maternity clothes is such a turnoff. I am determined to find some non-maternity clothes that will last me throughout my pregnancy. Today marks 16 weeks, which means I need to start getting my bump in gear. Let's face it, my bump is not going to be this small and cute forever... But how does one possibly think so far in advance while shopping when it comes to a growing baby bump? There is no way in hell I would be caught dead walking around with one of those strap on baby bumps in Saks. How mortifying! I wonder if people actually do that. Okay, this is turning into a total bitch-fest and that was so not the point of this post. Let's turn this around. Not all maternity clothes suck. Take maternity jeans for example. They are f'ing awesome! And holy guacamole are they comfortable! Everyone should own a pair. Oh, and every single denim brand I love makes maternity denim - J Brand, Paige Denim, Citizens of Humanity, James Jeans. You name it, they make it! Anywho, my non-maternity clothes challenge begins... And it starts with dresses! I'm thinking a bump could be a great accessory to the dresses above. What do you think?

  2. Who says you cant wear non maternity clothes, you just got to find the right clothes that can still look good in a bigger size that flatter your bump.
