Over the years I have developed a major affinity for elephants. They are such peaceful, beautiful & fascinating creatures. My dream is to one day go to Thailand and visit an elephant sanctuary [and possibly bring one back with me]. Did you know that elephants can bring harmony to your home and life? We used to have quite a few around my house growing up and I never realized the meaning behind them until I got older. My mother-in-law has an unbelievable elephant collection. I'm not one to brag, but It's pretty incredible and will put all of yours to shame [guaranteed]! When it comes to elephants, I don't discriminate. I love them all! But if it is luck you are looking for, you want the trunk up! Above are some of my favorite elephant home decor pieces. Of course the majority of them are Jonathan Adler. Who could resist??
"Like many animals, elephants have a special significance in feng shui. Elephants are symbols of good fortune and luck; especially elephants with their trunks up in the air. Elephants are worshiped, honored, and well taken care of. According to feng shui, elephants can bring luck and good financial success to the home. Feng shui elephants are especially admired because they possess great intelligence, strength, and dignity. Elephants also exhibit a very sacred and human quality." - LoveToKnow Feng Shui

Meet Elle
Elle is one of my lucky elephants on my bookshelf.
Oh, and she doubles as a jewelry holder. She's so helpful!
